Standard Anesthesia Protocol
Below is a chronological dosing guide for a conventional anesthesia with manual induction. Individual considerations must be taken regarding the patient’s condition and age, as well as the type and duration of the procedure. This guide can serve as a “base” for a typical intubation anesthesia for the most common surgical procedures. The guide describes the dosing of various drugs used for anesthesia and analgesia during induction, maintenance anesthesia, the waking phase, and recovery.

Manual induction with Propofol and Fentanyl. Maintenance with Fentanyl IV and Sevoflurane by inhalation. Muscle relaxants as needed.
Propofol and Remifentanil (Ultiva) I
Below are several dosing suggestions for anesthetic agents presented in chronologically structured graphical anesthesia schemes. For each scheme, you can see the dosage in TIVA dosing or TCI dosing. Click the arrows to switch from TIVA dosing to TCI dosing.
Manual induction with Propofol and Fentanyl. Maintenance anesthesia with Ultiva and Propofol in a pump.

Propofol and Remifentanil (Ultiva) II
Induction with remifentanil and propofol in a syringe pump. Maintenance anesthesia with remifentanil and propofol in a pump.

Remifentanil with Sevoflurane I
Manual induction with Propofol and Fentanyl. Maintenance with remifentanil in a pump and Sevoflurane by inhalation.

Remifentanil with Sevoflurane (II)
Induction with Propofol manually and remifentanil in a syringe pump. Maintenance with remifentanil in a pump and Sevoflurane by inhalation.

Remifentanil with Desflurane (I)
Induction with Propofol and Fentanyl manually. Maintenance with remifentanil in a pump and Desflurane by inhalation.

Remifentanil with Desflurane (II)
Induction with Propofol manually and remifentanil in a syringe pump. Maintenance with remifentanil in a pump and Desflurane by inhalation.

Propofol with Alfentanil (I)
Manual induction with Propofol and Fentanyl. Maintenance anesthesia with Alfentanil and Propofol in a pump.

Propofol and Alfentanil (II)
Induction with Alfentanil and Propofol in a syringe pump. Maintenance anesthesia with Alfentanil and Propofol in a pump.

Alfentanil with Sevoflurane (I)
