Anesthetic procedures
Our procedure cards describe a suitable anesthesia model for each type of procedure. Click the selected link to open a PDF image and retrieve a condensed guide of each procedure. Several other anesthesia models are entirely feasible and may be just as effective as our recommendations. Local variations and alternative protocols may exist.
Premedication is administered according to local protocols. In our cards, P = Paracetamol, O = OxyContin, COX = Arcoxia, OXA = Oxascand, Bet = Betapred, and Ond = Ondansetron. Dynastat or clonidine may be administered at the end of the procedure, if appropriate, following discussion with the surgeon.
